The Who Killed Archie Mitchell? storyline started on Christmas Day 2009 with the death of Archie Mitchell, killed by the bust of Queen Victoria in The Queen Vic pub. The killer was revealed as Stacey Slater on the live episode on the 19th February 2010, 25 years after the original EastEnders episode. In 2014, Stacey admitted to murdering Archie in the Vic packed full of people. Stacey was then placed in prison, however She was later released in August 2014 on the grounds of mental health.
