Vanessa is seen video interviewing Linda Carter about her sexual assault case (20 January 2015). Vanessa assisted DC Stephan Franklin in an interview with Dean Wicks (30 January 2015). Vanessa informs Linda and Mick Carter that it'll take six weeks to charge Dean. She says they're gathering evidence for the case. Mick gets angry and orders her out of the The Queen Victoria, telling her that if she doesn't get rid of Dean, he will (3 February 2015). PC Vanessa Jenkins arrives to inform Linda that Dean is being held in prison for assault (7 April 2015). Vanessa comes to tell Linda that the Crown Prosecution Service does not feel there is enough evidence to charge Dean (17 April 2015). She then returned in 2016 to question Louise Mitchell about Jay Mitchell's involvement with Linzi Bragg (26 April 2016).
