UK Gold (now known as Gold) is a classic comedy channel from the UKTV network, broadcasting to the United Kingdom and Ireland.

The channel launched on Sunday 1st November 1992 as UK Gold before it was renamed UKTV Gold in 2004. EastEnders reruns was one of the first programmes the channel started to air. The series ran from the first episode and followed its original broadcast order until August 1996 when the channel looped back to the first episode. The characters Den Watts, Ethel Skinner and Dot Cotton played by Leslie Grantham, Gretchen Franklin and June Brown advertised the second reruns with the slang "EastEnders: The Early Days". In October 2008, the channel ceased showing EastEnders. The last episode shown was from January 2006.
