Since 6 August 2018, Drama has been broadcasting EastEnder beginning with Episode 1. However not all episodes could be repeated or shown how they were originally.

Episode 97 (21 January 1986) was to be broadcast on Drama 12 October 2018 but was unavailable and Drama skipped to the next episode. It's believed that the wrong 1" tape for Episode 56 was copied to D3 and Digi and the 1" tape was subsequently junked. A low quality VHS recording survives of both the original broadcast and UK Gold repeat.

Episode 178 (30 October 1986) seems to have been the Omnibus credits. It's unknown if the original tape is missing and this episode has been cut from the omnibus.

Episode 497 (9 November 1989) was to be broadcast on Drama 12 October 2018 but was unavailable and Drama skipped to the next episode. It's believed that the 1 inch Tape was damaged and a digibeta tape was not made during format migration of other episodes. However a 1 inch Tape and VHS copy survive at the BFI, it is not known if this is the original tape.

The below episodes could not be broadcast as unfortunately the rights could obtained by Drama.
