Tony Virgo (born 29th September 1948 in Harrow) worked as a producer on EastEnders from 1987 to 1988. He also directed 16 episodes of EastEnders from March 1986 to February 1988.

In the early 1980s, he was responsible for directing some high-profile shows them most notably being, three episodes of the late medical drama Angels, the Doctor Who television story "The King's Demons" and six episodes of Emmerdale. EastEnders was Virgo's first job as a producer. However, it peaked him off to a good start in producing as he went on to produce The Bill from 1990 to 1992, six episodes of Perfect Scoundrels and 92 episodes of Peak Practice from 1993 to 2002.

Other credits in both producing and directing include Cockles, Travellers by Night, Crossroads, All Creatures Great and Small, A Country Practice, The Vet, Dangerfield, Backup, The Locksmith, Dalziel and Pascoe and The Scarlet Pimpernel.
