Christmas 2023 featured the culmination of "The Six" storyline. The storyline started on 20 February 2023 and came to a halt in Late 2024, with a minor revisit in Summer 2025. the storyline is well known for containing EastEnders' first ever flashforward sequence which allowed viewers to see the drama occurring ten months into the future, 25 December 2023. This flashforward saw Linda Carter, Suki Panesar, Kathy Beale, Stacey Slater, Denise Fox and Sharon Watts standing above an unknown deceased male character.
Flashforward clues
- The deceased male character is wearing cufflinks on Christmas Day.
- Sharon is in a wedding dress, with a bloodstain on it, meaning she will be getting married to somebody on Christmas Day.
- The scene also features a photo of Lola Pearce-Brown on the bar of the Vic, implying she has passed by Christmas Day 2023 as Lola was alive when the flashback scene had aired despite her having a brain tumour. Lola passed away in May 2023.
- Linda has a thick lip, which could possibly indicate she had gotten into a physical altercation with somebody.

What actually happened
- Sharon was getting married to Keanu Taylor that day, however the wedding was later called off.

The Flashforward
Leading up to the flashforward
On 20 February 2023, Linda sees a photo online of Shirley, and Dean is in the background, Linda instantly fears that Shirley is going to return to Walford with Dean and will be forced to be around him again. Kathy comforts Linda and helps her to feel better. Later that night, the six women get together and have a lock-in at The Queen Victoria. They then make a toast to men, with Sharon saying "to men, may they get what they deserve" the screen then transitions to black.
The flashforward scene
"Christmas 2023" appears on screen and The Queen Victoria is the location. Christmas music can be heard in the background and then Linda is seen walking into the murder scene, she can be seen to have a thick lip. Some part of the male is shown, however his identity isn't revealed. Suki can then be seen going up to the male as she looks shocked, Kathy then turns to Suki and seems confused as to why Suki is shocked over the dead body, Kathy then turns back to looking at the male, showing no emotion. Stacey can then be seen standing quite shaken and with blood all over her hands, she is regrettably looking at the dead male. The camera then pans to Denise who is firmly standing above the body with a broken glass battle - she has a fierce expression on her face. Sharon then drops to the floor where blood is seen on her dress, the cufflink of the male is then shown followed by Sharon revealing "He's dead…" then the episode ends.
Events leading up to Christmas
Suki has an affair with Eve Unwin and throughout this affair they vow to get rid of Nish once and for all, they try many times and think of many possible solutions and ways to get him arrested, however they do not succeed in these attempts, as Nish becomes more dangerous the two are very on/off with their affair due to the high risk of Nish. Their affair is never publicly revealed however Suki's son, Vinny Panesar, discovers the affair and blackmails Suki by threatening to tell Nish about the affair, Suki consequently calls off the affair with Eve and the Panesar's cut all ties with her. Nish and Suki begin to have a lot of relationship issues with each other after.
Stacey is struggling for money, partially due to Lily Slater being pregnant and Stacey preparing to have another mouth to feed. and is forced into doing Secret Cam work. She eventually gets back with Martin Fowler who doesn't accept that she does the Secret Cam work, they then separate with the reason that "it's not the right time" however they remain friends and co-parents, Stacey then eventually builds a 'bond' with a private client who has been paying her and helping her pay her bills.
On the other hand, Denise and Ravi also begin to have an affair after Denise has relationship issues with her civil partner, Jack Branning. Denise doesn't feel loved at times and seeks comfort in Ravi as a friend initially, however an affair starts between them. Denise sneaks out a lot and even goes to a hotel with Ravi one night. After a month or two passes, Jack finds out about the affair and goes on the warpath. He has a fight with Ravi in the streets and everybody turns their back on Ravi, Denise and Jack then have some time apart.
Sharon and Keanu are trying once again whilst Sharon is attempting to buy Mick Carter's share of the Vic off of Linda. Nish and Suki are also interested, Sharon sells herself to Linda as the better option and that their friendship will also help in business, despite Sharon's proposal, Linda is reluctant then creates an offer off of a third buyer, backstabbing her current buyers. After some time passes, Elaine Peacock arrives and is revealed to be the new landlady of the Vic. Sharon and Nish are both annoyed and feeling betrayed. Sharon cuts ties with Linda and declares that their friendship is over. On the romantic side, Keanu proposes to Sharon in the Boxing Den and she initially says no, however after some long thinking - she says yes.
Elaine's new family, The Knights: George, Gina and Anna arrive in Walford and are also going to be living in the Vic. Linda is very angry over this and feels terrorised by them, she then lets her anger out on George. She is instantly suspicious of him and the way he acts - looking out for her mum. Linda invades George's personal belongings and finds something. George then explains the past about his ex-wife, Rose Knight. After some heartfelt conversations, she eventually calms down and takes a liking to the Knight's,
Lisa Fowler returns to Walford alongside Keanu's daughter, Peggy Mitchell Jr. Keanu is thrilled to see his daughter again although Lisa is hiding something, Sharon gets through to her and Lisa is revealed to be a gambling addict and has only returned for money off of Keanu. Sharon sympathises with Lisa and offers her hospitality to which Lisa accepts. Behind Sharon's back, Keanu pays Lisa a staggering amount of money to see Peggy, however Lisa constantly demands for more. After the tension rises and Keanu starts to see through Lisa's lies, she flees the country and heads back to Portugal. Sharon and Martin had both helped Lisa in fleeing against Keanu's wishes, Sharon comforts Keanu however it's not long before Keanu realises the truth and then conflict arises between him and Sharon. Their wedding is then consequently called off.
Love reaches a peak for Kathy and Tom when they decide to get married. They are then faced with a blast from the past as Tom's 'ex' wife arrives in Walford, Jo Cotton. Despite Jo affecting them, Kathy and Tom still pursue with their marriage and happily get married, sometime before their wedding, Rocky has his stag do with some friends and they play a game of poker. Nish then bets his cufflinks but unfortunately loses them, the cufflinks are then passed onto Jack. Just before the wedding, Tom is once again troubled by Jo who reveals Tom and her are still married, meaning that Tom is a bigamist. Kathy later finds out in the Vic and is yet again annoyed with Tom - but has to act when Jo attempts to break the news to the locals. Things then get physical between Kathy and Jo, as a result of this Jo demands that Tom and Kathy pay £50,000 for Tom's freedom - they're reluctant with paying her, however they do.
Cindy Beale returns from the dead and is dating Ian once again, they return to Walford and Cindy and Kathy instantly clash. Ian then kicks Kathy out of the house and her and Tom go to live with Sonia Fowler and Reiss Colwell. Meanwhile at the Slater's, Stacey invites Theo over and he later reveals himself to be her Secret Cam private client, she doesn't believe him at first and laughs at him but he gets angry and tries to be physical with her, he says that they're in love but Stacey denies this as Lily goes into labour, Theo tries to stop her but she pushes him, she is later rescued by Martin and Eve and assists Lily into giving birth to a baby girl, Charli Slater. Soon after, Theo moves in next door to Stacey.
Kathy gets annoyed living with Sonia and Reiss after a short amount of time, mainly because they're always playing instruments, and seeks to get a flat in Walford. They find one with the Panesar's being the landlord but Tom has insufficient funds to buy it upfront, so he takes out a loan from the Panesar's. Additionally, Sharon is also planning to go to Abu Dhabi with her son, Albie Watts, after an offer by a new business partner, Dorian Gates. Keanu is unhappy to hear this.
Theo continues to harass and traumatise Stacey, making her feel unsafe in her own home, she tries to get the police involved however they aren't helpful enough. After a court hearing, Stacey is branded as the bad one and Theo is sided with - despite Stacey standing up for herself in court and making her opinion extremely clear. Later that night, Theo breaks into Stacey's house and he tries to rape her. Freddie Slater then comes in to rescue Stacey and then bashes Theo over the head with an iron, and then beats him unconscious. Stacey is shocked and gets Eve for assistance on what to do, they tamper with the crime scene and make it look like Theo had a weapon. Freddie is then arrested for attempted murder but flees Walford to save himself.
Davinder 'Nugget' Gulati goes missing and cuts contact with all family except from Suki. He makes a lot of calls to Suki so long as she doesn't tell anyone. She checks in with him regularly until Suki takes a call near to Ravi, Ravi puts the pieces together and realises Suki knows where Davinder is. Nish doesn't believe Ravi and sides with Suki, however Suki privately confesses to Nish and they go to bring Davinder home. In a heated confrontation, Priya Nandra-Hart, Davinder's mum arrives to the scene and then wriggles her way into the Panesar household, upsetting Suki. When Nish and Suki are in private, Nish abuses her and forces her into saying that Kheerat Panesar is a murderer, and not Ravi. A few days later, Suki makes breakfast and is insulted by newcomer Priya.
Towards the end of October, Linda is feeling lonely on her first Halloween without Mick, to make things worse, Dean returns and approaches her in her kitchen, he confronts her and she gets angry. He tells Linda the truth on how Shirley's been for the previous ten months and that she's constantly been in and out of psychiatric wards - according to Dean, Shirley hates Linda. Dean gets in Linda's face and shouts at her, causing her to grab a knife and viciously threaten him to leave. Dean then leaves but stays around in Walford, for his daughter.
The time comes for Sharon being close to leaving for Abu Dhabi and Keanu does everything in his power to stop her from going, he plots with his mum, Karen Taylor on what to do and together they decide to kidnap Albie and flee the country before Sharon does. Sharon allows Keanu to take Albie to a birthday party, however Keanu goes against her and takes Albie - although Albie just cries for his mum. Sharon persistently calls Keanu and is on high alert as he doesn't answer. The police are called and Keanu hears the sirens, he calls Karen to occupy Albie whilst Keanu deals with the police, Sharon notices Albie's passport is gone and tries to attack Keanu. Keanu then makes up a lie that they went to the park and Albie was stolen by someone. Sharon is distraught and the police investigate and try to find Albie. Karen decides that she needs to get Albie out of Walford for the time being in case the police search her house so she calls her brother in-law, Malcolm and asks him if he can 'babysit' Albie for a few days. Karen and Keanu then create a ransom note for £50,000 off of Sharon and Phil assists her in paying this. Karen stashes the money in an unknown location and then collects Albie off Malcolm, Sharon is reunited with her son and realises that she needs her community to protect her and Albie - calling off Abu Dhabi, Sharon and Keanu then try again and share a kiss.
The electrics go faulty in Kathy's Café and desperate for money, Tom gets the idea of setting the cafe on fire. Despite disapproval from Harvey Monroe, Tom goes ahead with his plan and the cafe burns, Tom flees the scene. Bobby Beale notices this and tries to put out the fire, after messing around with the fuse box, the cafe explodes and he is trapped inside. The residents of Walford are instantly alerted and so is Kathy, who is distraught to see her cafe in flames. Upon realising Bobby is trapped inside, Peter Beale and Tom go in to save him, Kathy tries to but is stopped by Harvey. Firefighters then arrive and rescue the three men, Peter and Bobby are placed into intensive care as a result.
When Albie has a few tests regarding his recent 'kidnapping' Sharon and Keanu are called into the hospital, they're informed that Albie is a carrier of an AADT gene, however Sharon and Keanu are dreadfully informed that the gene has to be passed down by both parents and that Sharon carries the gene, but Keanu doesn't - indicating that Keanu isn't the father, but Phil is. Keanu doesn't understand this and still titles himself as Albie's dad, and when Sharon attempts to tell Phil the truth, he dismisses her and demands her to leave his house. Some time after, Sharon decides to sell her half of The Boxing Den to Phil as she can't bear to be around him as she won't be able to keep the truth to herself and also so that her and Keanu can be happily married without Sharon being involved with her ex-husband.
As Dean begins to settle into Walford, he soon comes to realise that Linda has a lot of family by her side who will protect her. Gina sprays "RAPIST" across the front of his new shop, Beale's Eels, and Dean's business is consequently affected. He instantly blames Linda but she denies it and after some talking with Ian, Dean chooses the 'mature' option of speaking with Linda calmly. Against George and Elaine's wishes, Dean sneaks upstairs and confronts Linda until George and Cindy come to her rescue, things quickly get heated as George smacks Dean and knocks him down the stairs, hospitalising him. To save George, Linda visits Dean in hospital and tries her best to convince him to not go to the police. He agrees in doing so but only if Linda admits to everyone that he never raped her and that she lied to everyone. Linda is distraught to hear this but is even more shocked to find out that Elaine thinks she should do it. Linda then goes to Dean and tells him what he believes to be the truth, and records her without her knowing. Linda tells Dean exactly what he wants to hear in hope that he leaves her alone. She then runs away and breaks down in The Vic. The next day, Dean acts calm with Linda and calls her "L" which causes her to almost relapse as she pours alcohol into a glass and goes to drink it until she is stopped and comforted by George. Linda yet again visits Dean and informs him that he cannot hurt her anymore.
When Priya kisses Nish, everyone is angry with her and she is kicked out by Nish, Suki then realises that she cannot be with Nish any more and expresses her true emotions to Vinny, who understands and sympathises with her. Suki states that she wishes Nish and Priya do get together so she has a reason to leave him. Vinny finally understands Suki's perspective and agrees to help her leave behind Nish's back. After some time apart, Suki and Eve finally sit down and talk again and Suki openly expresses that she still loves Eve but Eve doesn't care about Suki as she's happy with her current girlfriend, Tessa. Suki asks Vinny to flee with her but he turns down her offer, saying that he still needs to prove himself - additionally, he gets her some money and her plan is good to go. Suki writes a letter to Nish and then leaves with her bag, asking Stacey where Eve is, Stacey refuses to tell Suki about Eve's whereabouts which causes Suki to just leave. Suki goes to the station until Eve catches up with her and stops her, they then sit down outside the station and Eve then admits that she loves Suki too, and with Suki being over with Nish, they can be a happy couple. Suki is happy to have her other half back and then explains how they can stay with a friend of Suki's in Glasgow. Eve then tells her to wait a few hours until they can go.
Suki rushes back home to retrieve the letter that she wrote for Nish before he opens it and discovers her true intentions. When Suki arrives home she finds the opened letter on the table. Priya tells Suki that she is the one who discovered the letter and reveals that she knows about her plans to elope with her secret lover, without realising that it is Eve. Priya threatens to tell Nish everything.
Meanwhile, Mitch decides to throw a birthday party for Karen in The Queen Vic, with all of the family attending including Keanu and Sharon. When Karen starts to spend a good bit of money in the pub, some of the residents ( such as Phil ) become suspicious of her as this type of money spending is unusual with the Taylor's as they are notoriously 'broke'.
Malcolm arrives at the party and Sharon and Keanu become alarmed when Sharon starts to question why Albie seems so comfortable around Malcolm when he is a 'stranger' to him. Sharon tells Malcolm that Albie was kidnapped a few weeks ago, Malcolm soon realises that the kidnapping was fixed by Karen and Keanu and the entire time that when Malcolm was 'babysitting' Albie he was actually hiding him from the police during the fixed kidnapping. Malcolm is furious when he learns of this and questions Karen and Keanu to why they didn't tell him about the plan. They both manage to calm Malcolm down and he promises to keep his mouth shut.
Later on, Suki and Eve discuss everything that has happened with Priya and the letter, together and they form a plan. At first Eve suggests that she scares off Priya but Suki shuts her down as she doesn't want the police to come after them when they run away to Brighton. They settle on a plan to pay Priya to keep her quiet. Suki says she will give Priya the £2000 that she has saved up, which was intended for when she eventually runs away from Nish. However, Eve suggests stealing the money from the call centre safe to protect Vinny. Suki declines this offer and instead meets up with Priya to offer her £2000 if she doesn't tell Nish about her plan to run away.
To Suki's surprise, Priya doesn't think that this is not enough money for her and Avani and demands that she is paid £3000 by the end of the day or she will tell Nish about the truth. Suki, after being blackmailed, pays Priya the full £3000, which she steals from the call centre, to protect Vinny.
As Suki delivers the money to Priya, she receives a call from Nish, inquiring about her location. She tells him that she is at work in the Minute Mart, but little does Suki know, Nish is sneakily watching her give the money to Priya from McKlunky's.
Nish then approaches the two and confronts them over the stolen money and the transaction. Priya makes up a story that Suki stole the money from the call centre to give to Priya to buy a nearby flat as she no longer felt welcome at the Panesar house and Suki was supporting her with the money, Suki goes along with Priya's story. Nish luckily believes this story but he takes the money back and returns it to the call centre.
Stacey confesses the truth to Jack
Meanwhile, Theo comes out of hospital and instantly returns to Walford to meet with Stacey, who is distraught to see him but quickly makes plans with Eve on what to do, Stacey makes the choice to meet up with Theo at a place nearby, as he requested. Stacey and Eve initially go together but Eve is distracted by Suki and Stacey then goes alone.
As the two are unfortunately reunited, they chat and Theo explains how he still loves her and that Stacey needs to understand that she feels the same too. Stacey's mind is fulfilled with the upcoming plea hearing, so she proposes to Theo that she does want to be with him but only on one condition - that he pleads guilty in court. Stacey adds on as a bonus that she'll be waiting for him when he is released. Theo doesn't agree at first but when the actual plea hearing does arrive, he looks at Stacey who gives him a reassuring smile and then pleads guilty.
Stacey later gets drunk in the allotments and calls Jack. He comes to supports her and then later takes her back to his home where she wrongfully admits the truth about planting evidence when Theo was attacked, much to Jack's horror. Initially, Jack tells Stacey that as a police officer it is his responsibility to inform the police of this but later he changes his mind and tells Stacey that her secret is safe with him.
Priya starts to threaten Suki again, therefore she has no other choice but to give Priya £200 from the Minute Mart till and promises to transfer the rest by midnight. Moments later, Suki reveals all of this to Eve in the Minute Mart as the two start to plan their romantic escape. They admit love for each other as they share a kiss.
Nish unexpectedly shows up at the Minute Mart alongside Ravi and Vinny and informs them that he believes that Priya wasn't looking for that money to buy a flat, but to use it to feed her drug addiction. Nish suggests that they should all confront Priya over this but Suki is quick to 'defend' Priya and tells them that Priya may be a brat but she is harmless.
When Suki leaves, Nish tells Vinny and Ravi that he is still adamant to catch Priya out therefore they should keep an eye on the Minute Mart tills to insure that Priya is not stealing any money from it to buy drugs. Vinny, who is oblivious to Suki's troubles with Priya, discovers that there is £200 pound missing from the Minute Mart till, and he assumes that it is Priya who has taken it to buy drugs like Nish suspects.
Later that evening, the entire Panesar/Gulati family gather to have dinner. It's Suki's final meal with her family before running away for her new life with Eve. Before they start dining, Priya tells Suki that there is no need to deliver her the rest of the money as she has had a change of heart, when realising how much Suki struggles with her relationship to Nish.
During the dinner, Vinny asks Nish if he can have a word. Vinny informs him of the missing money from the till. Nish instantly assumes that Priya took it. Nish then goes to the Minute Mart to review the CCTV footage to find any proof of Priya stealing the money but instead he sees some footage of Eve and Suki sharing a kiss. Feeling deeply betrayed, Nish smashes shelves in the Minute Mart while in a fit of rage.
He then uses Suki's phone to text Eve off demanding to meet at Walford East. When Eve arrives, she exposes her affair with Suki and their plan to begin a new life. A fierce argument ensues, which leads to Nish brutally attacking Eve by knocking her down with a bottle. and orders Ravi to kill her, Ravi takes Eve to an undisclosed location in Walford Common and almost kills her until she fights back and runs away but Ravi catches up with her. Having one more confrontation, Eve quickly learns that her only option is to leave Walford for good or Ravi will kill everyone she loves. Eve then leaves and Suki is blasted with numerous emotions after Nish sends disheartening texts from Eve's phone. Nish later tries to be romantic with Suki but she pushes him away.
Keanu and Karen argue over the recent events of the party back at the their home. when Mitch suddenly walks in he asks what they are arguing over, they tell him that Karen once again is disapproving of Sharon but when Keanu leaves Karen reveals the truth to Mitch, including the fixed kidnapping. Mitch is also furious when he learns of this but he tells Karen that he won't tell anyone of this. Karen starts to 'flash her cash' by buying expensive shoes for her grandson, Mackenzie Atkins, and by buying expensive breakfast for the family. Phil's suspicions arise when he sees this and he starts to wonder where Karen is getting all this money, but his wife Kat Mitchell shuts him down and tells him to mind his own business.
Mitch confronts Keanu over the fixed kidnapping and tells him off. Later that day, Phil enlists the help of his sister, Sam Mitchell, she finds a post on Malcolm's social media posted on the week of Albie's kidnapping. The post shows a picture of Albie and Malcom together, Phil then starts to piece every part of the story together and realises that Karen must have left Albie with Malcolm and she has the ransom money.
Sharon gathers the entire family to The Queen Vic to inform them that her and Keanu have set a date for the wedding, Christmas Day. However Phil marches in and accuses Karen of fixing Albie's kidnapping in front of the entire Square. Keanu immediately denies involvement and acts shocked to learn of this information. Karen decides to protect her family and takes full responsibility. Sharon is furious and slaps Karen and tells her that she is going to call the police. Meanwhile, Phil demands the return of what is left of the ransom money. Mitch and Karen return home and Keanu tries to persuade Sharon not to call the police on his mother but she is determined. Phil, Sharon and Keanu gather as they wait for Karen to arrive with the money, like she promised. They then look out side to see Karen, Mitch and the children leaving Walford with the money. Phil and Keanu are absolutely furious with Karen, as Phil vows that the Taylors won't get away with this.
Nish is aware that Tom set fire to the café and begins to blackmail Tom by threatening to tell Kathy about Tom setting the fire unless Tom can get Kathy to sell the café to Nish for a reduced price. Even after Tom manages to do so, Nish cannot resist temptation and lets it slip to Kathy that Tom set her café ablaze. When confronted about this Tom tries to justify his actions but Kathy is not having any of it and tells Tom to leave immediately.
Rocky looks at what is left of the café after Kathy kicks him out.
Meanwhile, Linda decides to publicly confront Dean when she discovers that had taken a photo with her son Ollie at the Santas Grotto in Beale's Eels. Deans daughter, Jade Masood, is present for this argument and is taken aback when Keanu jumps to Linda's defence and calls Dean a 'sexual predator'. A furious Dean marches over to the Queen Vic and plays the recording he has of Linda when he forced her to say that he didn't rape her. Thankfully, most of the residents can see through Dean's lie and are quick to back Linda who is still very shook up after this, so much that she ends up relapsing when she takes a drink and breaks her sobriety.
After a few weeks, Stacey and Suki begin to notice that something is unusual regarding Eve's wellbeing. Stacey seeks out some help from Jack to find her off the books, this causes Stacey and Jack to grow closer. Tensions rise between Denise and Jack and she temporarily goes to stay with Kim, so Jack invites Stacey over and the night ends with them sleeping together. When Denise returns after her short break, Jack immediately confesses that he slept with someone, but doesn't say who. Denise finds a necklace and questions Jack on who it belongs to. Jack says he has no clue and lies by saying that the woman he slept with was just a random person from the Vic. That same night, Jack meets up with Stacey discreetly and returns her necklace, Denise then sees the two talking from the window and pieces everything together. Denise confronts Jack over it and she goes to leave, when she is stopped by Amy Mitchell who questions her on the truth. Denise speaks to Amy however Jack walks in and Amy storms out sobbing. They later find her in the park and she had almost harmed herself - which has been a massive issue for her in the past. Jack then threatens and blackmails Denise and states that if she leaves and Amy harms herself, he'll never ever forgive Denise and it'll be her fault, Jack then throws Denise's clothes over the floor.
Meanwhile, Stacey and Suki's suspicions are still at a high and Jack had revealed to Stacey that Eve is 'dead' causing her to be distraught. A emotional Suki comes up with a plan, Suki goes to the Panesar House Surgery and rudely kicks Sonia Fowler out, takes some poison and prepares a meal for Nish. Although, Sonia confronts Nish in the streets over Suki's rudeness and Nish returns home. Suki and him raise a glass to their marriage but Nish pours it over the food, claiming that no wife should poison her husband. Suki then gets to the point and demands to know what he's done to Eve and she admits to a knowledgeable Nish that they've been having an affair. Nish then tries to fiercely punch Suki but she blocks it and says that she must find Eve. Nish then flips the table in anger and screams at Suki. Nish then makes up a lie saying that he paid her £10,000 to leave and never contact anyone in Walford again. Suki breaks down and cannot believe what she's hearing and Nish tries to comfort her but Suki isn't having it. Nish tries to be intimate with Suki, despite her refusal and Suki consequently knees him powerfully and runs. The police then bang on the door for Nish and Nish punches Suki in the stomach. As Nish goes to open the door, he is arrested by the police on suspicion of murdering Eve, Suki then cries as she believes that Eve is dead. Vinny then says that all of this is Suki's fault.
In the kitchen, Suki makes herself a drink and tries to poison herself but just before she drinks it, Eve walks in and reveals that she's alive to Suki. Suki is shocked but thrilled at the same time and instantly hugs her, Eve also denies that Nish paid her to run away, which never happened. The two then go over to Stacey's and Eve and Stacey are also reunited. Stacey is also shocked but angry ands hits Eve however Eve comforts Stacey, Eve then tells Stacey and Suki the full truth about Ravi trying to kill her in the woods. Later on, Jack walks into Stacey's kitchen and sees Eve. Jack is shocked but Stacey pleads with him to not tell the police. After some convincing, Jack agrees to not say anything if Suki and Eve are gone within 24 hours, to which they accept.
Back at No. 27, the pot is stirring between Denise and Jack once again and Denise states that she will forgive Jack for cheating, but not for blackmailing her over Amy, and then Denise walks out. Jack, in the streets, notices Suki roaming around and hastily questions her as to why she hasn't gone anywhere. Jack then threatens to call the police and get Ravi and Nish out so it can be dealt with legally and properly, Suki stops Jack and threatens to tell Denise about him and Stacey, Jack has the upper hand and says that Denise already knows. However, Suki is smart and additionally threatens to tell Ricky, Amy, Lily and other members of the family. Suki can tell that Jack is fearful and then says that she'll be gone in another 24 hours. Later that day, Davinder speaks to Suki and gets upset as to why nobody is telling him anything, Suki then feels like she needs to stay around to support Davinder.
Jack and Denise get into another argument at home and they both head outside, where a furious Davinder shouts at Jack to why his father and grandfather are in jail, Jack says that it's above his paygrade and dismisses Davinder and Suki quickly takes Davinder home before the situation escalates. Denise then questions Jack on what is going on and if there is more information which he's hiding from her. Jack loses his temper and screams at Denise in the streets and furiously orders that she stops giving him so much grief, Denise then sobs and walks over to Kim's. Stacey tries to support Denise but Denise doesn't care and insults Stacey and Jack. Jack then shouts at Stacey to "Leave us alone!".

Over at the Vic, Linda is slightly relieved and depressed when she gets a text from 'Mick' saying that he's alive and to meet her where they got married, Elaine tries to get through to Linda and makes her realise that it isn't really him and it's most likely Dean, Linda agrees with Elaine but still goes to the place anyway. Linda isn't surprised to see Dean approach her there and she states how she would've liked it to have been Mick but she knew deep down it wouldn't be. Dean then tries to tell Linda about Jade's situation and also adds on that he wants to apologise and make things right, in the hope that things go right for Jade too. Linda hears Dean out and expects him to apologise. Linda tells Dean what to say and he initially doesn't say it, but after a moment "I raped you. I raped you and I'm sorry" Linda then walks off but Dean chases after her and says that he apologised and now things should change, but Linda rhetorically questions him. by saying what does he expect her to do? She adds on that she doesn't forgive Dean and yet agin walks off, Dean grabs Linda although she aggressively punches him and kicks him in the face, leaving him injured on the floor, something she had been waiting to do for a while.
Night-time arrives and everyone is gathered in the square, Howie Danes sings the Christmas choir and the camera focuses on all members of The Six and the men they have been targeted by, Ravi and Nish are also set free from jail and are told that Eve is alive. The camera suddenly transitions to an empty Vic of where the murder will happen, officially marking the end of all the clues that viewers can get before Christmas Day.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day arrives and Keanu happily takes Albie for a ride around the square with a new go-kart. Sharon and Kat give each other a suspicious nod. Later on, Bernadette gets a video call from Karen and Mitch and she speaks to them and asks if they can come home, Karen gets sad and then ends the call. Soon after, Bernadette sees Keanu in the streets and she tells him about Karen, Keanu quickly gets agitated and bans Bernadette from the wedding, Bernie gets angry and rushes over to Phil's.
At the Panesar household, Suki opens presents with Davinder and Avani although they are quickly interrupted by Ravi returning home from jail and it isn't long before Nish arrives too. Nish guides Ravi into the kitchen and aggressively punches him in the face, disciplining him for not murdering Eve. Suki then visits Eve and Stacey and they prepare to leave and say goodbye to Stacey.
Sharon and Keanu's wedding
Bernadette arrives at Phil's house demanding for a word but everyone assumes she's drunk and they do not take her seriously, despite this, Phil hears her out. At the same time, Keanu and Sharon's wedding begins, and it all starts off calmly, multiple members of The Six attend. Sharon then arrives, wearing her wedding dress alongside Albie. They walk down the aisle and prepare to get married. After a little bit of time, Phil comes storming in with Bernadette and Kat, screaming at Sharon not to do it. Phil then reveals to the whole community that Keanu was behind Albie's kidnapping, Sharon doesn't initially believe Phil until he pulls Bernadette to the front and forces her to confess everything. Sharon quickly feels distraught after hearing the truth and she violently punches Keanu in the face and blood splashes on her dress. Sharon then runs away whilst Keanu chases after her.
Keanu and Sharon go away from everyone and argue about Albie's kidnapping, Keanu explains the truth and why he did it. Sharon states that she could kill him for what he had done. Keanu tries to reason with Sharon but she rejects him. Sharon then finally reveals that the only blessing is that Albie isn't Keanu's son and doesn't carry his disgusting genes, Keanu is beyond shocked and doesn't know what to say. Phil and Kat stand in the doorway and hear everything too. Phil is shocked and him and Keanu demand answers from Sharon, she explains about the AADT gene and how Phil carries it but Keanu doesn't, Linda also watches from the distance and comforts Sharon - taking her back to the Vic.
Suki and Eve are instantly disrupted when Suki gets a phone call saying that Davinder has collapsed, so she rushes home in panic only to find Davinder conscious and well and they had been waiting for Suki to attend Christmas Dinner. Eve is smart and knows that something is off so her and Stacey go to Jack's house and tell him that Suki is in trouble and that Jack needs to arrest Ravi and Nish now. Jack refuses to do this so Eve attempts to take matters into her own hands and tries to storm over to Nish's, but Stacey and Jack stop her and Jack goes instead.
In the Vic, Linda, Sharon, Denise and Kathy have a chat and reassure Sharon that it'll all be ok. Phil quickly comes storming in, demanding answers from Sharon and she tells him the truth, Phil then requests to be a part of Albie's life but Sharon is fearful that he'll ruin everything, like he had for his other children. Kathy stands up to defend Sharon and tries to push Phil away however he fiercely grabs her and forcefully pushes her, ripping her dress. Phil then leaves.
Suki's escape from Nish
Jack arrives at No. 41 for a tin opener, Nish gives him one and Jack leaves, seeing that Suki is safe. When Jack leaves, Nish senses something seems off and grabs the keys out of Suki's coat and locks the front door so she can't escape. Back at the table, Suki says she's going to the bathroom but as Nish predicted, she makes a run for the door, Nish catches her in the act and forces her to come back to the dinner table, despite her saying she doesn't want to. Avani then adds on that "You can't force her!" however Nish angrily screams at her and tells her to shut up, Suki then runs into the kitchen and tries to escape via the back door but she is quickly cornered by Nish until Ravi saves her, grabs Nish and surprisingly pins him against the worktop - giving Suki the opportunity to escape. Nish then hits Ravi with a rolling pin. Suki runs and looks for Eve but a cautious Stacey notices Suki panicking and she shouts that Nish is after her so Stacey and Suki seek safety in the Vic, alongside Kathy, Denise, Linda and Sharon, The Six.
In the Vic, The Six women speak to Suki about her conflict and she reveals the affair to them and how Nish is seeing red, wanting to kill Suki. They make a toast to true love however Linda decides to go upstairs, seeming visibly upset. Whilst upstairs, Dean is up there spying on Linda. She moves from room to room and he peers on her from every corner, she starts to get suspicious then hears the door downstairs. Linda notices that someone has walked out of the door, but there's no sign of Dean. Back together, the women insist that Suki should call Nish and inform him to come to the Vic for a confrontation. Suki is reluctant at first but the women insist that they'll protect her and won't allow Nish to do anything, so she calls Nish and it isn't long before he arrives at the Vic.
Nish vs. The Six
Suki speaks to him and Nish demands for all of the other women to go away and give him and Suki some privacy. They refuse and say they are there to defend her. Nish and Suki continue with their conversation and Suki persists that the marriage is over and that she doesn't love him anymore, instead she loves Eve. Nish refuses to understand but Stacey shouts at him and says that he must understand that Suki doesn't want him, Nish gets emotional quickly and says that he can make Suki happy and take care of her, Suki no longer cares about him and turns her back to him.
Suddenly, Nish fiercely grabs Suki and attempts to take her away but the women defend Suki and all pull on him to get her off, Nish swings his arms and hits Linda in the face, giving her a thick lip, she then goes to make a call. The remaining women still try to save Suki but all panic as Nish punches them all off, Kathy grabs onto Nish but yet again he powerfully pushes her off. At this moment, Denise realises that they're out of options and grabs a glass bottle and charges at Nish, smashing it on his head, saving Suki and sending him unconscious. The scene turns to slow-motion and pans out identically to the flashforward.
The Six's reaction to a 'dead' Nish
Linda puts the phone down and walks back in, shocked to see Nish, Suki worriedly looks at Nish although Kathy is confused to Suki's reaction. Stacey goes down to Nish's body to check him over but her hands get covered in blood. Denise shakes and panics as she looks at a so-thought dead Nish. Sharon then goes down to Nish, checks his pulse - "He's dead" the women all believe him to be dead and Denise shouts at Sharon multiple times to check again as she panics and begins to break down, Kathy shouts to call an ambulance, however, someone walks in, it's Keanu and he sees The Six with a 'dead' Nish. Keanu then states that he's came for Albie and that Sharon can't be trusted after 'murdering' Nish. Suki then goes down to Nish and panics, screaming that he can't get the easy way out.
Sharon and Keanu's confrontation
Sharon then rushes after Keanu and blocks him from going up the stairs. They argue at the bottom of the stairs and Sharon fiercely proposes that Keanu's not having Albie because he's a child snatcher and dangerous. Stacey, Linda, Denise and Kathy then come to accompany Sharon and defend her. Sharon argues with Keanu, he says that she'll get put in prison for murdering Nish and that Albie can't be around that. Sharon then argues that Keanu will be the one behind bars with no visitors, and that Phil will never let Keanu see Peggy Jr and that Sharon will never let Keanu ever lay eyes on Albie again, because he's not Keanu's son.
Keanu's death
Keanu then gets angry and begins to strangle Sharon in rage and Kathy tries to help Sharon and pull Keanu off, but it's no use. Sharon chokes quickly and everyone panics, not being able to help her. Linda sees a carving fork next to her and grabs it, after a split second of reluctant thinking and seeing a choking Sharon, Linda runs at Keanu and stabs him in the back with it, killing him in self-defence. Keanu then falls to the floor as blood pours out of his mouth.

Suki, unaware of the killing, gives Nish CPR and mouth-to-mouth which makes him start breathing again. Suki is relieved and goes to break the news to Denise that she's not a murderer, however she sees a deceased Keanu on the floor and the remaining women panicking and in urgent distress.
The Aftermath
Boxing Day Episode
Sharon is distraught to see Keanu deceased and goes down to his body and sobs. A lot of The Six women start arguing and Kathy assists Sharon into checking Keanu's pulse, Sharon then gets a saddening nod. Linda also notices her hand is covered in blood and she erratically panics and washes it off in the bathroom, minutes later, Elaine calls and informs her that her and George will be back in half an hour. Sharon then comes into Linda and they have a chat - Linda explains how everyone needs to leave and that she'll turn herself in. Sharon then stops her and shows her gratitude for Linda saving her life.
Back with the body, the rest of the women come up with a plan however Stacey is insistent on calling the police and dealing with it the right way. Denise then calls her a selfish witch and threatens her. Stacey is eventually convinced to go along with the plan although Kathy opposes it. She then picks up the phone and almost dials 999 until Denise yet again threatens her by saying that Kathy was "directly involved" Kathy is shocked to hear Denise's dark side but also goes along with the plan. Suki then takes the spotlight and suggests a decent plan.
The Six then try to find another plan on how to deal with Nish and Denise informs them that she'll call Jack and he can take Nish to the hospital. Some of the women are doubtful of the plan and Stacey goes against Denise by saying that Jack cannot be trusted and Denise should know that. So, Jack isn't called and The Six figure out a plan independently. After some talking, Suki admits to Sharon that they'll need to get rid of Keanu's body. They initially plan on taking him to the woods in George's car but quickly realise they need more resources, Denise and Stacey sneak out to get a rug and stealthily move through the snowy streets, they successfully get a rug but have to hide for a moment when George and Elaine walk into the streets, Stacey then begins to properly panic and breaks down, therefore Denise tries to comfort her and reassures her. Luckily, they both make it back to the Vic undiscovered.
Linda takes the carving fork out of Keanu and disposes of it upstairs. The women then wrap Keanu's body in the rug and prepare to tape it however Sharon gives Keanu one last kiss. When wrapped up, they pick him up and take him outside, however, someone aggressively knocks on the door and after a sudden rush of fear, Linda answers the door to see a drunken Tom begging to see Kathy. It isn't long before Linda gets wound up by Tom and pushes him away. As they get to George's car, Denise keeps an eye on Nish. Kathy then states that it'll leave DNA all over George's car and that they can't use it, she then gets the bright idea to bury Keanu in the wreckage of her café. They take him in there and chuck him in a massive hole. The women then chuck rubble and cover the hole with tables. Linda then feels guilty because Keanu was so young.
Meanwhile at the Vic, Nish's breathing gets worse and Denise panics. The suspense increases as the police arrive and knock on the Vic, stating that they received a dropped call from Linda Carter and that they need to enter the building to do a welfare check. Denise quickly comes up with an excuse and laughs it off by saying that she's Linda Carter and that it must've been one of the kids who did it, the officer is satisfied and Denise apologises. The police then leave. Denise then rushes over to the café and tells them about the encounter with the police and Nish's sudden decrease in breathing. Sharon then states that they all need to work as a team and that there's no other option.
Later on, the police arrive at the Vic and shut it off, many Walford residents are confused and bombard the police with questions, however the DI doesn't give out much information. At the station, all the 6 women, apart from Suki, are questioned about the scenario, they all tell the exact same story and the police seem satisfied. Although Kathy accidentally slips out information about Suki and Eve's affair. At the same time, Nish is taken into hospital and placed into an induced coma. When they all return back to the square, Suki and Eve are reunited, therefore Eve makes her return known to the community.
Tom discovers the truth
Kathy is stopped by Tom in the streets, who explains how he saw Sharon going into the café on Christmas night, and that he's determined to figure out the truth. After this, he confronts Sharon in the streets and Sharon denies Tom's accusations of seeing her in the café. Telling him that everyone sees things when they're drunk. Tom still isn't stopped by this and properly sits down with Kathy and demands the truth off of her. He then says that she must be inflicted because only her, himself and Nish know the combination to the café. Meaning that Kathy must've gone inside with Sharon. Kathy struggles to find an excuse and orders Tom to stop questioning her about such a traumatic experience.
Kathy arranges to meet with The Six in the Vic and they do so, she informs them of Tom's discovery and Suki states that Kathy should just get back with Tom to make him forget about it. Denise also adds on how obvious it is that they still love each other. Kathy then invites Tom over and says how she will give him another chance but he must forget about seeing Sharon. Tom then pinpoints that he was right after all, Kathy then gives him a reason and says that she went into the café with Sharon to talk about Tom himself. Moments later, Ian walks in and says how someone's stolen a tarp from his skip. Tom then adds on to Kathy how he saw Stacey and Denise carrying one through the square on Christmas night. Kathy yet again panics and meets up with The Six. Suki then reminds Kathy that arson is a life sentence, hinting that she should send Tom to prison for the rest of his life.
Kathy struggles to phone the police until Suki threatens to do it herself if Kathy doesn't, Kathy panics but eventually does it. Meanwhile at the Vic, Linda gets drunk and acts rude to her family. As Elaine hosts a quiz for everyone, a drunken Linda comes and spoils it however Denise and Suki support her and try to get her away. Just at this moment, police officers walk in and arrest Tom for burning down the café, Harvey tries to defend him and states he's a good man. Kathy breaks down in front of him as he's taken away, Kathy and Stacey then go back to the Beale's and Stacey helps her calm down. Linda is taken upstairs by Suki and Denise then starts getting emotional and hysterical. She cries but then Denise acts vicious towards her to try and get her to snap out of it. Linda struggles to do this.
Kathy then phones Denise, asking for a favour off of Jack. As Tom is questioned at the station, Kathy comes and gets 5 minutes to chat with him to say goodbye. Kathy insists that Tom pleads guilty and says that he DID set the fire, Tom is hesitant but Kathy reassures him that he'll be released sooner if he admits to it, and that she'll be waiting for him. Kathy then starts to get emotional and then leaves Tom - both of them in floods of tears.
Continuation into 2024
When all of The Six ladies return from their holidays they are quickly faced with a dilemma as builders arrive to start work on the café. Suki and Kathy persuade them to stop and go and get some baps. Luckily, this buys them some time to plan. Linda begins to panic however Stacey supports her and they have a chat, with Stacey stating that Linda needs to keep it together. At No. 27, Denise, Suki, Sharon and Kathy gather together and talk about going forwards, at that moment, Suki gets a surprising call and is told that Nish is awake and stable. Denise is jumping for joy that she's not a murderer although Suki panics that Nish will remember everything that happened. Sharon then leaves in floods of tears after expressing how she feels about Keanu and how he didn't deserve his comeuppance.
Nish reveals he remembers 'everything' and tells Suki, although she brands him as a liar and that his memory will be foggy. As time goes on, Linda's drinking gets worse, Denise becomes depressed and the other 3 try to hold it together. Fearful that the builders will soon start working on the café, they go back to properly bury Keanu and potentially move his body. Whilst there, they start fighting and Denise gets pushed into the pit where Keanu is buried. She starts screaming and quickly gets out. The Six, now five, choose to bury Keanu with a cement mixer. When Denise gets home, she realises she has lost her 'D' necklace and realises it's buried under the body. The next night, Denise frantically rushes back to the café and tries to break the hardened cement with a sledgehammer, although the other ladies come in and stop her - Kathy threatens to make sure Denise gets sent down if she digs up the body. Denise tries to make them realise that she's the only one with evidence on that body, but they don't allow her to dig him up, this causes Denise's mental health to spiral downwards.
Nish returns home and is determined to find out the truth, he also prepares to finalise his divorce with Suki but insists that she'll get none of the businesses, Suki is shocked to hear this and demands that Nish cannot take her empire away. Suki tries to make a deal with him and comes up with a plan to keep the café only as it can be her and Eve's future, but Nish denies her request. Suki continues to fight for her empire. Meanwhile, Nish confronts the remaining ladies and starts off with Kathy, she manages to keep her story straight and doesn't reveal anything to Nish, also adding on that he's going crazy and is making things up. Nish then targets Linda and questions her, Linda struggles to keep it together and tries to get Nish to leave but he continues to pressurise her. Elaine then helps Linda.
Some days later, Suki proposes another deal with Nish but he denies it once again and rips up the papers. Nish then breaks into Stacey's home and questions her, she states it was Keanu but Nish remembers that he wasn't there. Before anything bad can happen, Jack comes to save Stacey and banishes Nish, Nish leaves but is still determined to find out the truth. Jack and Stacey then start having an affair.
Whilst this affair goes on, Denise's mental health reaches an all-time low, Yolande had managed to convince her to attend church and try to find peace with God but this doesn't work for Denise, she starts hallucinating, she has a nightmare and sees herself buried in the pit under the café as Keanu buries her, she quickly awakes and breaks down. The next day, Denise visits her abusive ex-husband, Lucas Johnson, in prison and asks for his advice. Lucas had committed murder and many other crimes in the past, but since becoming spiritual and religious, he had found more peace with his life. Denise questions Lucas on how he can live with himself - he informs her that he learnt to realise what he'd done and live with it and accept that it had happened, he also adds on that Denise can tell him what's going on and what has caused her to feel so low. Denise doesn't take much of his advice and just runs off. Back at home, she sees Keanu haunting her and sees him in the curtains. Linda also kisses Alfie as they grow closer.
Some time later, the nightmare continues for the ladies as Nish reopens the café but there is a leak on the floor, possibly meaning that it'll have to be replaced, they all fear that Keanu's body will be discovered, Denise even comes close to handing herself in until Suki reassures her after a plumber fixes the floor. The drama continues as Karen returns to Walford, demanding her son's whereabouts and what really happened at Christmas. Karen confronts all of them and tries to get answers from her, Stacey isn't very useful and says the basics. Kathy, Suki and Stacey talk about Karen and the situation, Kathy proceeds to deal with Karen whilst Suki and Stacey continue as normal, Kathy calls the police on Karen for blackmail and kidnapping, but is convinced by Bernadette to stop and drop it. Kathy does and instead speaks to Karen - Kathy agrees to make a deal with Phil to sort out the £50,000 Karen owes him, so long as Karen leaves. Karen overhears Kathy and Stacey speaking and how it's all one big setup just to get rid of Karen for their own sake. Karen decides not to leave and instead questions a very vulnerable Linda. Suddenly, Linda almost reveals everything until Kathy takes her away. Karen then comes to the conclusion that Phil, Sharon and the rest of the five ladies are behind Keanu's disappearance. After realising she's out of options, Karen leaves once and for all.
Linda wakes up the next day and falsely says she is sober and is going to act better for the sake of family and her kids, now that Karen had left. Although, Kathy speaks to Linda and checks in with her but Linda's drinking comes to light and Kathy instantly tells she is drunk. Linda runs off downstairs and gets angry with Kathy, they start shouting in public - almost revealing everything. Linda then slaps Kathy in front of Annie, her daughter. Linda goes to drink even more at The Albert but she throws up. Linda then drunkenly walks through the streets and collapses, Johnny, her son, then returns.
