
Tamzin Maria Outhwaite (born 5th November 1970 in Ilford, London) is an English actress, presenter and narrator who portrayed Melanie Owen in EastEnders from October 1998 to April 2002 and from January 2018 to November 2019, when her character was killed after getting struck by a lorry.
Outhwaite has also appeared in Men Behaving Badly, The Bill, Red Cap, Hotel Babylon, The Catherine Tate Show, The Fixer, Law & Order: UK, Silent Witness, New Tricks, Doctor Who, Agatha Christie's Marple, Inside No. 9, Midsomer Murders, Shakespeare & Hathaway: Private Investigators and Death in Paradise.
