Sugar was Syd Chambers pet collie, although she was given to Liz Turner after Syd moved to Canada. She was the single witness to Lucas burying Owen Turner's corpse under a tree in the Square, and she then sat by the tree, much to Liz's despair. After Liz moved to Spain, Sugar was handed to Lucas's son, Jordan. When Sugar constantly started sniffing by the tree again in 2010, Lucas took her for a walk, but returned without her. It is implied that he killed Sugar to keep his secret just that.
