In 1985, Jephcott was involved in the theatre production Charlie and the Chocolate Factory where he portrayed Mick Teavee who is a TV Addict. However, his big break came in 1987 when he appeared in the Channel 4 soap opera Brookside portraying a man named Mike Stevens. After landing the role of Danny in EastEnders in 1989 and departing in 1990, Jephcott went onto appear in other productions such as Arthur and the Invisibles, If You Ever Get to Heaven and Callback. His last known contribution to television was in 2018 in the TV series Sept nains et moi playing Santa.
