Ronny Jhutti is a British actor who appeared as Sohail Karim in EastEnders from 1988 to 1990.
Jhutti was born in 1973 and raised in London as Ajay Dhutti. His first television role was in 1988 in EastEnders, where played the son of shop-owners Ashraf and Sufia Karim. His storylines mainly focused on racial abuse and the complicated lifestyle of his family. After leaving EastEnders in 1990, Jhutti went on to appear in productions (as a minor character) such as Family Pride, Wild West, Immaculate Conception, Siren Spirits and Bideshi. His next big break came in 1994 when he joined the cast of Moving Story playing a character called Asif.
After Moving Story, Jhutti has been no stranger to our screens and altogether has had over forty credits on television roles, them also being high-profile shows such as Where the Heart Is, The Bill, Red Cap, Doctor Who, Survivors, Shameless and Holby City. His last known contribution to television was in 2018 in the ITV soap opera Coronation Street portraying a Defence Barrister. He's no stranger, to the back-screens of television either, in 2008 he wrote a short television story called Creaking Shadows, and also directed the production.
