Rodney "Rod" Morris made his first appearance on 2 March 2000. He is portrayed by Forbes Masson.
Storylines[]
Rosa di Marco wasn’t happy with how Nicky was doing at school, and so she hired a tutor to get her through her maths GCSE. When Rod Morris turned up, Nicky suddenly seemed to develop a passion for the subject, but in reality, she was more interested in her tutor than quadratic equations. In spite of Nicky’s obvious devotion to him, married Rod remained unmoved until Nicky changed the venue for their meeting (away from the house), put on her shortest skirt and vowed to tell him how she felt. Forgetting that she was only a schoolgirl who didn’t know any better, Rod took the hint and overstepped the mark.
Nicky’s family had him charged with assault, and Gianni even took the law into his own hands and went round and beat him up. Eventually, it emerged that Nicky had tried to kiss him, and - on the condition he overlooked Gianni’s attack - the di Marcos dropped the charges. In spite of escaping criminal action, Rod’s reputation as a responsible teacher was in tatters.
