Richard Driscoll is a British screenwriter, film producer, actor and film director who appeared as Alex Healy in EastEnders from 1997 to 1999.

After joining the cast of EastEnders in March '97, Driscoll made headline news as rumours spread that the actor had a secret past as a thief and heroin addiction. The actor sentenced to court in February 1990, the newspaper stated, and he confessed to breaking into a car and stealing a radio cassette in an underground car park next to Hyde Park. Driscoll was put on probation for 12 months and ordered to pay pounds 200 compensation after Bow Street Magistrates Court heard how he was unemployed and had struggled to overcome heroin addiction.

Since leaving the soap, however, Driscoll has gone on to appear in The Bill and direct and produce numerous films.
