Ray made his first appearance on 5 May 1987 and last on 9 June 1987. He was portrayed by Bob Hewis.
Backstory[]
Ray was one of four workmen contracted by James Willmott-Brown to renovate The Dagmar on Turpin Road, which he had acquired the tenancy for.
Storylines[]
Ray along with the others lodges at the Abercorn Bed & Breakfast to be close to the job site. He and the others frequently flirt with Angie Watts much to her delight and frequently banter with her. They prove to be lazy and were often seen in the Queen Vic and the Café, much to James' frustration. They delay the Dagmar job further by helping set up for the engagement party at the Vic for Debbie Wilkins and Terry Rich. However, with the help of Arthur Fowler, the men complete renovations within a month, and the Dagmar wine bar opens. Ray and another workman, Tel, are the only two who have dialogue and are credited on screen.
