Phillip Mitchell (c1915-14 June 1969). was the grandfather of Phil Mitchell, and and father of Archie Mitchell, Eric Mitchell and Clive Mitchell.
Backstory
Phillip Mitchell was born in about 1915 in Walford. He had a brother Kenneth Mitchell. and sister Madge. Phillip married a woman called Sandra in about 1938 and they had 3 sons, Archie Mitchell in 1939, Eric Mitchell in 1940 and Clive Mitchell in 1943. Phillip joined the RAF and was a sergeant but was later demoted to store worker. Phillip died on the 14 June 1969.
It was revealed by Archie Mitchell that he was abusive and that once at Christmas he said that if he wasn't out of the house by the time the snow globe settled, he would hit him, he locked all the doors.
Some sources say his name was Robert Mitchell, and this was revealed in 2006, but in 2007 Phil said he was named after his paternal grandfather. Maybe Robert was his middle name.
