DCI Peter Arthurs made his first appearance on 4 September 2018 and last on 26 December 2024. He was portrayed by Ian Burfield.

Peter mentions his son was a premature baby, he and his partner were terrified.
Storylines[]
He investigates the shooting of Stuart Highway at The Queen Victoria Pub. In 2020, he later investigates the death of Chantelle Atkins, he is seen interviewing Gray Atkins. He arrested Tina Carter and Ben Mitchell for attacking Ian Beale. He interviews Phil Mitchell for the attempted murder of Ian Beale. Peter later informs Mick and Shirley Carter that the corpse found in The Argee Bhajee is Tina Carter and later arrests Gray when he is exposed as the killer of Chantelle, Tina and Kush Kazemi. On the 4 April 2024 he arrests Sharon Watts on the murder of Keanu Taylor. In 2024, DCI Arthurs has taken a pivotal role in the investigation of the death of Keanu, frequently questioning those possibly associated with the death. Lastly, he investigates Cindy Beale's attack on Christmas Day 2024.
