Peter made his first appearance on 21 October 1997 and last on 14 November 1997. He was portrayed by Mark McKenna.
Backstory[]
Peter is the ex-boyfriend of Lorraine Wicks and stepfather of Joe and Karen Wicks.
On 1 July 1995, while driving Joe and Karen to school, he was involved in a car accident when the car they were travelling in was hit by a lorry. Peter survived alongside Joe; however, 13 year old Karen died as a result of her injuries.
Peter found it difficult to cope after Karen's death and waked out on the family, which led to Joe's arrival in Walford when he runs away to search for his father, David Wicks. After finding David and refusing to leave Walford, Lorraine decides to leave Bolton permanently and settles down in Albert Square.
Storylines[]
Despite being mentioned a number of times, Peter was not seen until October 1997 when Joe makes a trip to Bolton to visit Karen's grave. Joe invites Peter to their flat in Walford when Peter reveals he is performing at a music gig in London. This leads to him reuniting with his former partner, Lorraine. The couple reconcile and Lorraine decides to go back to Bolton with Peter in November 1997.
