Nyangi Marwa is the mother of Mila and Kioni Marwa. She made her first appearance on 30 April 2021 and last on 1 June 2021. She was portrayed by Lucy Vandi.
Storylines[]
Nyangi appeared to make her lesbian daughter, Mila Marwa marry a man named Joseph. Mila, with help from Kathy Beale, stands up to her mum and tells her she isn't marrying Joseph and that she's staying in Walford. When she left, Mila said she has already done enough for the family. Mila learns that Nyangi plans to take her sister, Kioni Marwa, away on a supposed holiday. Mila recalls to when her mother told her the same story when she was Kioni's age and realises that Nyangi is having Kioni undergo female genital mutilation. Mila's girlfriend, Iqra Ahmed, calls the police on her and Nyangi is subsequently arrested.
