Nisha Kapur is an actress who appeared as Shireen Karim in EastEnders from 1988 to 1990.
EastEnders wasn't Kapur's first television role, in 1985 she appeared in the production My Beautiful Laundrette playing Nasser's Younger Daughter, and then in 1987 in the television series Queenie playing a character called Rhada, and then 1988 came and she landed her most famous role as Shireen Karim. Introduced by show creator and series producer Julia Smith, her storylines on the programme featured racial abuse and the complicated lifestyle of her family. Kapur left the soap in 1990 and wasn't seen on our screens until three years later when she landed a part in the television series Bonjour la Classe - however, she wasn't credited for her appearance. In 1994, she appeared in the TV series The Real McCoy - her role is currently unknown. And in 1995, came her last known contribution to television when she appeared in the series Game On for one episode portraying a character called Mira.
