Nick Holland made his first appearance 11 November 1997 and he is the ex-fiancé of Cindy Beale and father to her daughter Cindy Williams. He is portrayed by Dominic Taylor.
Storylines[]
Nick meet Cindy Beale in Italy while she was on the run. They became lovers, and Cindy soon got pregnant with his soon-to-be daughter. When Cindy's former husband Ian Beale tracks her down, he steals his children back from Cindy and returns to Walford. Nick tries to help Cindy and comes with her back to London to get custody of her children. But during the trial Cindy is arrested for attempted murder of Ian, and Nick realises what Cindy is really like. Nick returns to Italy after the trial ends. Cindy later died while giving birth to a baby girl in prison (although this was later revealed to have been a lie as Cindy was actually put into witness protection and is still alive many years later) and she is named Cindy as a mark of respect, but Nick never returns for his daughter. This leads to her grandmother Bev and aunt Gina taking her to be raised in Devon. Bev is unwilling to look after Cindy due to her age and suggests that Ian has her - which he agrees to, but Gina contests this and eventually Ian allows her to live with her aunt.
In 2013, Cindy returns to Walford - now fifteen years old. She tells Ian a story of how she came to visit him but he doesn't believe her and tells her she is exactly like her mother. While waiting for the school bus, Cindy meets a boy called Liam who tells Cindy he likes her phone. Cindy then tells Liam that her dad got her it in Japan and it hasn't come out in England yet.
