Navin Chowdhry (born 1st January 1971 in Bristol) is an English actor who has portrayed Nishandeep Panesar in EastEnders from September 2022 until his character was killed off in 2025.
Known for his role as Kurt McKenna in Teachers, Chowdry's other television credits include London's Burning, Casualty, Dalziel and Pascoe, City Central, Judge John Deed, Waking the Dead, Doctor Who, A Touch of Cloth, The Job Lot, Midsomer Murders, The End of the F***ing World, Our Girl, Death in Paradise and McDonald & Dodds.
Navin won a Soap Award in 2025 for his portrayal of Nish.
