Backstory

On 23 April 2024, Nadine recalls to Jay that she grew up without a father. She also says she has an Aunt in Blackpool.

Storylines

A grieving Jay Brown meets Nadine after a night of walking, this is caused by the death of his late wife Lola Pearce-Brown. The two chat together and Jay feels comforted by her company, however the moment quickly becomes awkward and he makes a sudden departure. The following day, Jay apologises to Nadine and they go for a drink in The Prince Albert to put the past behind them and dismiss the previous night. Nadine invites Jay to her place and attempts to seduce him. He refuses this. Jay later begins sleeping next to Nadine. However, it's implied that they're not having sex. Callum Highway sees Jay entering her flat and later urges Nadine to stay away from Jay. Later, Jay goes to see Nadine and ends up doing ketamine with her after he had spotted it on her table. Later, Jay Kissed Nadine, saying he wants a relationship. Nadine says she doesn't want one, and Jay offers to pay her to sleep with him, which he accepts. Jay later begins taking the ketamine, and is arrested for it, however is bailed out. After this, he stops seeing Nadine after a car crash after taking the ketamine. In April 2024, Nadine phones Jay with urgent news, When they meet up, Nadine tells Jay that she is pregnant with his baby - she later tells Lexi Pearce about the pregnancy too. Jay refuses to take responsibility and walks away from Nadine.

It later turned out that Nadine was faking the pregnancy to get money out of Jay, Lexi had seen her putting vodka in her drink but nobody believed her. Nadine was eventually exposed by Stevie Mitchell, who revealed Nadine's fake bump, Nadine leaves the square shortly after.
