Mike Hudson was initially a production associate on EastEnders alongside future executive producer, Corinne Hollingworth throughout the years 1986 and 1988. It wasn't until 1994, that Hudson returned to the show but this time as a producer, he produced many episodes but when 1998 came, Hudson's biggest role on the show came when he was appointed Series Producer and was in charge of the day-to-day making of the programme alongside his associates Ian Aldwinckle and Christopher Ballantyne, the position was given to him after Jane Harris opted to the leave series, leaving the show under no official management. In June 1998, Matthew Robinson came along as the new executive producer, but Hudson carried on his role as Series Producer until October 1998.

Hudson's other credits include Between the Lines, Hetty Wainthropp Investigates and Family Affairs.
