Michael Leader (born 12 September 1938 in Hackney, died 22nd August 2016) was a Slavic English actor who appeared as Michael the famous milkman in EastEnders for over thirty years.
Remarkably, it took Michael over sixteen years before he gained a speaking role on the soap. He may not have been a massive character in the show but was undoubtedly loved by all the fans and the people at EastEnders, and his passing touched a lot of people. , Aside from his amazing work on EastEnders, he appeared in the Star Wars film A New Hope in 1977. The television series Blake's 7 in 1980. Four television stories of Doctor Who which were The Leisure Hive in 1980, The Visitation in 1982, The King's Demons in 1983 and the same year Mawdryn Undead. Whilst on EastEnders he appeared in Keeping Up Appearances in 1991, Red Dwarf in 1992 and Harry Hill's TV Burp in 2008.
