Meryl Glynis Fernandes (born 5th March 1983 in Tower Hamlets, London) is an English actress and presenter who portrayed Afia Masood in EastEnders between December 2009 and June 2012. Prior to this role, she portrayed a schoolgirl in 1993.
Fernandes has also appeared in Doctor Who, Minder, Doctors and Ackley Bridge.
