Storylines

He was an artist who took Diane Butcher to his flat and drew pictures of her in the nude. Diane was sleeping rough at the time, having run away from home. Matthew started stalking her afterwards and following her home, even leaving a life size nude statue of her in the middle of Albert Square. Diane's father Frank Butcher was livid at discovering the statue and later photographic art prints of Diane, and so snuck into a talk Matthew was doing at Walford College and confronted him.
