A list of killers who have appeared in EastEnders and have committed any criteria of killing a person. EastEnders is widely known for its high death rate with sixty five killers so far and is the soap with the second highest death count only behind Hollyoaks. This list is only taking into account murders that we are aware of as characters such as Johnny Allen, Aidan Maguire and Jack Dalton were all killers long before appearing on the show. Murders connected to characters are excluded from this list and if characters are tied, entries will be sorted alphabetically, the first list is also taking all forms of the law into account.
Gangster Johnny Allen tops the list of the most murders in EastEnders with six confirmed kills in total with four of them being committed in his back story prior to arriving in Walford and two being committed in 2005, the joint highest in a single year in EastEnders tying with Gray Atkins (two) in 2020.
Types of killer[]
- Murderous gangster - A character who is a criminal/gangster who either kills for financial gain or to cover up their crimes.
- Killer - A character who has deliberately taken at least one life.
- Accidental killer - A character who has accidentally killed at least one person, this can include manslaughters and murder by self-defence.
- Serial killer - A character who has murdered at least three times, manslaughters/instigated murders do not count and gangsters are excluded from being added as serial killer's regardless of if they meet the criteria.
- Reformed killer - A character who has killed in the past but has shown genuine remorse for their actions and has changed their ways.
- Murderous henchman - A character who carried out murders on the orders of other people.
- (Unconfirmed) - A character that has possibly killed people or have implied it but are not Killers for certain.
- + - A character that has killed at least once on-screen but has confirmed or implied they have more victims.
