Kate Harwood was executive producer of EastEnders from February 2005 to October 2006. She quit EastEnders and was succeeded by Diederick Santer. During her tenure, she had some quite successful storylines. She was responsible for: Dennis Rickman's death, Sharon Rickman's departure, Billy and Honey Mitchell's wedding, which lead to a storyline with their baby, Janet, being diagnosed with Down's Syndrome, Sean Slater's introduction, Ruby Allen's departure and the demise of Pauline Fowler.
She also introduced Bradley, Max, Tanya, Lauren and Abi Branning, as well as Kevin, Dean and Carly Wicks and the original members of the Fox family.
