Karen is a singer, who first appeared in 1990. She started singing ballads in the Queen Vic and became a regular singer. She befriends Clyde Tavernier and to the chagrin of Michelle Fowler, Karen got the lodgings she wanted at 55 Victoria Road and caught the eye of Clyde (who Michelle had a crush on). In 1991, she assists Clyde when he flees to Portsmouth after being accused of murdering Eddie Royle.
