Joanna made her first appearance on 31 May 2001 and last on 7 June 2001. She was portrayed by Hazel Ellerby.
Storylines[]
Joanna runs Joanna's Café in Victoria Road. She is first seen when Barry Evans confides in her saying that he's got the sack from being a chicken mascot at a fast food restaurant. Barry pretends to his wife Natalie that he's still going to work when he's actually visiting Joanna's Café seeking employment from the newspaper advertisements and using the café pay phone to receive calls for interviews. Natalie suspects that Barry's lying and goes to the café accusing him of having an affair with Joanna. Barry tells her that he's not having an affair, but confesses that he's still unemployed.
