Jasmine Fisher made her first appearance on 22 September 2025. She is portrayed by Indeyarna Donaldson-Holness.
Backstory
Originally from Croydon, Jasmine's parents were quite protective of her digital identity until she turned 18. Jasmine was later forced to make some distance with her family after refusing to be a part of their family business, which drew her towards Walford.
Storylines
2025-: Arrival, romance with Oscar Branning and secretive identity
In September 2025, Jasmine arrives at The Prince Albert and asks the manager, Cindy Beale, for a job - Cindy initially declines but after existing barman, Freddie Slater, is sacked, Cindy takes on Jasmine after getting a good first impression, despite opposed feelings from co-manager, Elaine Knight. Later, Jasmine meets Oscar Branning in the bar, after previously chatting on a dating app. Oscar asks if Jasmine has come to Walford for an escape but she remains ambiguous over her intentions. Cindy quickly catches onto the flirtatious demeanour between Jasmine and Oscar, warning her to steer clear of him. In a conversation about Jasmine's personal life, she states she moved to Walford after rejecting a proposition to join her family business. Although, Jasmine keeps most information private which raises suspicions for Cindy and Elaine, suspecting she may be a criminal of some sort.
Some time after, Jasmine discovers details about Cindy's personal life, seeming surprisingly interested and fascinated by this. Elaine later requests for proof of ID, though Jasmine doesn't have them available which angers Elaine, stating she will be forced to terminate Jasmine from The Albert without these - Oscar arrives, attempting to lighten the mood and flirt with Jasmine, but she turns a cold shoulder. The following day, Jasmine is out shopping, crossing paths with an excitable Oscar once again, she then kisses him romantically - though Cindy catches on, and issues another warning to Jasmine to which she mostly ignores. However, Jasmine informs Oscar that he can't be too flirty with her in the bar, else she will get in trouble with Cindy. As their relationship develops, Oscar introduces Jasmine to his father, Max Branning, who doesn't stick around.
Continuing to work at The Albert, Gina Knight, Cindy's daughter, confides in Jasmine after they both have boy troubles. Later that night, Jasmine and Gina are ran down by Nigel Bates - losing consciousness, Jasmine states "she needs to pay for what she did". Jasmine is quickly hospitalised and finds a note from someone, stating she must swiftly get back on top form, she suspiciously becomes overtly aggressive and snappy towards others after seeing this. After discharging herself from hospital, a suspicious Oscar and Elaine do some digging into Jasmine's personal life, upon discovering this, she states her parents were very restrictive over her internet access until she turned 18.
