Jane Slaughter (born 1961) is an English actress and former ballet dancer who has portrayed the background role of Tracey in EastEnders since February 1985. Slaughter has portrayed Tracey since the initial episode of EastEnders on 19th February 1985, making her the longest serving character on the show.
She trained at the Elmhurst Ballet School in Ballet and Drama and had appeared in television shows Ballet Shoes, Katy and The History Man. Although only being an extra on EastEnders, Tracy is very familiar with the public and has appeared in many spin-offs for the show including being an audience member at The Graham Norton Show and an interviewee on the EastEnders Revealed episode The Curse of the Queen Vic.
