Jake Dylan Wood (born 12th July 1972 in Westminster, London) is an English actor who portrayed Max Branning in EastEnders from June 2006 to February 2021. He previoulsy appeared in the show as Jackson in March 1990. He took a year long hiatus from the show between 2015 and 2016, after his character was framed for the murder of Lucy Beale.
Wood has also appeared in The Bill, London's Burning, Only Fools and Horses, Inspector Morse, One Foot in the Grave, Casualty and Red Dwarf.
