Jade Wicks (formerly Roya Masood, also Green) is the daughter of Dean Wicks and Shabnam Masood and is the result of a one night stand. Originally, she was named Roya Masood, however, after being fostered she was named Jade Green and Shabnam revealed to her friend Stacey Slater that she had a daughter, whom she abandoned. After Dean finds his abandoned daughter, she is left in the care of Dean and his Mother Shirley Carter who then change Jade's surname to "Wicks", once a DNA test had confirmed that Jade is Dean's daughter.
She now lives with her mother in Barnet after Jade's grandmother Shirley decided Shabnam should have full custody of Jade as she could see how much Shabnam ment to Jade after Dean was sent to prison.
In April 2015, it was revealed Dean discovers the truth about Roya and confides in his mum, Shirley. Shirley makes the decision to go on the hunt of abandoned Roya.
In her first on-screen appearance, Shirley burst into Jade's home and told Jade's sister she was her gran, however, Jade - a sufferer of cystic fibrosis - told Shirley that her sister was not Jade but, in actual fact, she is.
An insider teased: “That baby is half Masood and half Carter. Shabnam has kept her secret all these years but something is going to happen that makes her break down and confess”.
In an episode dated 18 June 2015 Shirley tells Buster that Jade has Cystic Fibrosis the same disease that Jimbo Wicks had.
