Hollyoaks is a British soap opera that has been running since 23rd October 1995, it is the youngest of all the big four biggest British soaps. The show airs on Channel 4 and is a direct rival of EastEnders' often competing with them for ratings and viewers. Hollyoaks is considered part of the current "big four soaps", along with Emmerdale, Coronation Street and EastEnders themselves.

Hollyoaks exists in the EastEnders universe and was referenced on 4 November 2021 when Kim Fox sees an article online from the Chester Herald featuring Cindy Cunningham campaigning to put an end to global warming. This scene was filmed due to all the soaps agreeing to come together to do scenes for each other to raise awareness for global warming.
