Storylines[]
Helen works for Walford District, a housing association looking to purchase 9 flats from Ian Beale's property development company Beale's Homes. She takes over the project from her colleague Andy Birch who gets called away on personal business. She reassures Ian that it's all going to go through, however, at the last minute she tells him that the association have opted to go for another developer. This results in Ian becoming bankrupt as he's unable to pay the building contractor what he owes them.
