Garry Hobbs

Garry Hobbs arrived in 2000 with his finance Lynne and her family, and departed in 2009 with Dawn and Summer.

History

He had a relationship with Laura. Laura was the third wife of Ian Beale. Laura got a baby but Ian didn't believed it was his and that is was Gary's. Laura died after falling down the stairs in her flat after tripping over a toy when she was going to answer the door. After a will Ian believed Bobby was his son and took him with him. Gary was down and heartbroken by knowing bobby wasn't his son.

He was engaged to Dawn Swann but on his wedding day but his best friend Minty told him that Dawn had been sleeping with his boss Phil so then he punched Phil in the face and set off on the small boat that him, Dawn and Summer were set to sail off after they married to wait for Dawn. He is about to leave without Dawn, but she arrived just in time and they sailed off in the boat together with Summer it is unknown if they got married again.

About

Hapless mechanic Garry Hobbs might have seemed like one of life's losers, but there was something rather heroic about him.

He put up with Lynne's erratic mood swings and fought off her randy sister Kat, not to mention errant teen Stacey. He even obliged to service Slater sister Belinda. When Laura named him as the father of her baby he did the decent thing and stuck by her, even naming the little mite Bobby after his hero Bobby Moore.

He never thought that lying Laura might have duped him, and was heartbroken when she revealed that the child was Ian's.

Flatmate and best pal Minty supported him through thick and thin, and the pair tirelessly tried to pull/get the brush-off from every single woman who had the misfortune of entering the Queen Vic pub.

Eventually, however, Garry got his much deserved happy ending and sailed off into the sunset with the gorgeous Dawn Swann...
