Gabriel Chang is a private investigator who was helping Anna Knight to track down her mum, Cindy Beale. He made his first appearance on 1 August 2023 and last on 17 August 2023. He was portrayed by Jon Chew.

Storylines[]

On 1 August 2023, when Anna Knight gets curious about finding her mum, she saves up money and steals £200 from The Queen Victoria to hire a Private Investigator. Anna is told by Gina Knight to not go ahead with it multiple times however Anna doesn't listen and meets Gabriel in the park. Anna is unable to provide Gabriel with much information about her mum however she gives him a Locket with Peter and Lucy Beale's date of birth on. Gabriel reassures Anna that he will try his best to help her, he writes down as many notes as possible about the case. Later on that day, Gabriel appears in The Queen Victoria informing Anna that he's found something and that she'll want to hear this, although Anna dismisses him as she can't talk right now. Gabriel leaves and asks Anna to call him as soon as she can. The next day, 2 August 2023, Anna mentions that Gabriel told her that the date on the Locket is a birthday or a wedding date and that he has a contact who could get hold of the records and link it back to Cindy, Anna's Mum, additionally, he mentions that if they "play it right" then they could be days away from tracking Cindy's IP address. After a conversation between Anna and Gina on 3 August 2023, Anna calls Gabriel and officially tells him that she is no longer interested and to drop the case. He gives Anna Cindy's phone number on 17 August 2023 and explains it is active in France.
