Summary[]
Cindy meets up with Gita in a wine bar. Pat and David speculate about what might have happened to missing Frank. Della feels defeated with so few customers visiting the hair salon. Steve encourages her to keep faith.
Carol takes Pauline's shift at the launderette, needing the extra cash to buy Sonia a decent birthday present. Cindy arranges a rendezvous. Pauline agrees to look after the twins on the proviso she tells her where she is going. Phil grows concerned, having not been paid by Lee for the last VIN plate he did. Another client, Jimmy, then shows up at the Arches and asks Phil to create a VIN for his car. David tries to help Pat make sense of Frank's disappearance, and then advises her to start considering the unthinkable and phoning around the local morgues. Cindy meets with Gita at a restaurant outside town. Debbie and Nigel give Bianca a trial run at the video shop. Cindy learns that Gita has a whole new life away from Sanjay. Debbie is hassled by Liam as she walks down the market. Gita asks Cindy for a big favour - she needs her qualification certificates to be kept on at her current job, but she has left them at her flat. She gives Cindy the keys to the flat. Ricky grows suspicious of David and Pat's secrecy, so Pat admits she thinks Frank was living a secret life. Ricky questions how much debt they are in but Pat refuses to say, not wanting him to worry. She adds that she has phoned around London's morgues. Della makes £20 at the hair salon. Liam turns his attention to Bianca at the Vic. He tells her that he is Debbie's ex. Sharon puts Vicki to bed and argues with Grant over the amount of toys she has bought her. She reminds him that Vicki is her sister, and then notices Vicki standing on the landing, having heard what she just said. David starts spreading the word of Frank's disappearance at the Vic. Phil overhears and expresses interest. David tells him that he predicts it was either debt or the fire that drove him away, adding that Frank probably feels responsible for the death of the vagrant. |
