|
Dougie stands over a fearful Sharon. He wants to clear the air. Sharon suggests they wait until the morning but he wants to sort things out now. The taxi returns Grant to the Square. He races into the Vic and upstairs, where Dougie has overpowered Sharon and pinned her down on the sofa. Michelle tries to get Dougie off of Sharon but is thrown back. Grant then grabs hold of Dougie and drags him off Sharon and against a wall. Dougie smashes a vase over Grant's head, knocking him unconscious. He then gets the shotgun from the bedroom and demands the till money from Sharon. She gives him what he desires. He then takes the women downstairs, leaving Grant on the floor - blood seeping from his head. A lonely Pat wanders the Square, hoping to see Frank. She notices a man walking past the car lot dressed strikingly similar to her missing husband. She chases him down, but he is not Frank. A bloody Grant regains consciousness and creeps downstairs, picking up a baseball bat along the way. Dougie sneaks behind Grant and points the shotgun to his head. Grant is taken hostage along with Michelle and Sharon. Dougie makes plans to run away with Sharon. He forces her to get closer to him. She does, but then throws a cup of coffee in his face. He seizes his shotgun and prepares to shoot. Grant intervenes and the gun waves around. Two shots fire - one hits Michelle. Dougie is knocked out by Grant. Sharon cries, as does a hurt Michelle. Grant gets his car and demands they all get their story straight as they head to the hospital. Sharon learns that Grant and Dougie planned a supermarket robbery for tomorrow. Grant warns Michelle that if she tells the police anything, he will be put back inside. The injured party arrive at the hospital and Michelle is taken to resus. Grant phones Phil and asks him to get rid of Dougie and the shotgun at the Vic. He does, but only the shotgun is present - Dougie has fled. Michelle stabilises and is taken to a ward to recover. The next morning, Grant, Phil and Sharon tidy the Vic. Having not been told anything and worrying all night, Kathy demands to know what has happened. Grant tells her there was a fight at the bar and Michelle got hurt. The Vic's phone then rings and Grant answers - it is Dougie. He tells Grant he is dead. |
