Summary[]
Shelley criticises Tricky Dicky for chucking Aidan and Mandy out so close to Christmas. Nadia continues to wind Kathy up with her affections towards Phil. Mandy and Mark have a heart-to-heart once he is out of hospital.
Arthur reads out condolence cards sent to him and Pauline, but unsuccessfully tries to hide one from the Chapman family. She makes him read it out and learns the Chapmans want Pete to "rot in hell". Mandy demands Aidan stays in the squat all day so that Tricky Dicky cannot kick them out. Aidan receives a letter from his mother telling him she does not want anything more to do with him. He feels like a disgrace to his family and is not supported by Mandy. Carol gets to the bottom of who gave Billie and Sonia the alcohol, but Robbie twists the story and claims his mate Kevin gave him the alcohol. Pat is sure that she has heard Ricky on the phone to Bianca, but Ricky tells her he said "Veronica". Carol also thinks she has heard Bianca on the phone to Ricky, but Bianca tells her she said "Mickey". Tricky Dicky buys musical knickers from Nigel. The Chapmans phone Number 45 to give the Fowlers grief. Nadia suggests that Phil goes to Pete's funeral, but he thinks it is a bad idea. Alan warns Kevin to stay away from Robbie. Pete's coffin is driven through the Square and to the cemetery. Tricky Dicky breaks into the squat and kicks Aidan out. Ethel is overcome with emotion as Pete is laid to rest. Mandy and Mark arrive at the funeral late. Auntie Nellie, a relative of Pauline's attends the funeral, and then heads to Number 45 afterwards for the wake. Mandy gets angry with Aidan for letting Tricky Dicky kick them out. Michelle answers another call from the Chapmans and is riled. Residents head over to the Vic to hear Johnny 'T-Bone' Wilson. Arthur gives a heartfelt speech for Pete and Johnny then plays Silent Night. |
