Grant tells Nigel about Vicki's father in the shop. Mandy overhears. Michelle learns that Arthur has gone, and although upset at the news, she encourages Pauline to go for a drink with her to help keep them unified. Hattie tells Ian that she witnessed Cindy with Tricky Dicky. Mandy tells Pauline she knows that Den is Vicki's father in the shop. Pauline grabs her with rage and then rushes over to see Mark and Michelle. Michelle is horrified to learn of the local gossip. Mrs. Andreos lays Mandy and Aidan off work as a relative of hers is arriving next week and she is letting them take over their work. Mandy kicks a stack of tins over with anger. Michelle tells Pauline that she let Sharon tell Grant about Den because of their marriage and that she does not want gossip to stop them getting out. Pauline agrees and they head to the Vic anyway. Mandy turns to Kathy for a job but is rejected, so she tells her she knows who Vicki's father is, and after realising Kathy does not know, she tells her. Michelle lets Grant know just how much she hates him and then tells Ian who Vicki's father is. Kathy confronts Michelle, hurt and feeling pushed out of the family. Michelle apologises and they make up. She then gives Mandy an earful and reminds her no one will give her begging money when they realise what she is really like. Nigel sits lonely in the flat when there is a knock at the door - it is Debbie and Clare. Kathy, Michelle and Sharon toast to no more secrets. Debbie tells Nigel that she has left Liam because he got angry with her for not having tea on the table for him. She explains she left a note telling him she was leaving him whilst he was out. Nigel tells Debbie he does not want her to stay at the flat if she is only going to return to Liam. She reassures him she will not by suggesting they head to bed. |
