Christine heads over to the launderette to see Pauline and finds Arthur there as well. Pauline tells Arthur that she wants them to buy a television for Martin for his bedroom. Pat tells Tricky Dicky that Kathy is now with Phil. She threatens him when he makes a derogatory remark about Kathy. Pat visits Cindy at the flat to see Steven. Ian arrives soon after and is angry with Pat for not coming to see Steven sooner. He tells her he will make sure she does not see him again. Arthur writes a note for Pauline telling her he is leaving her. Christine phones, interrupting his thought process. She tries to hurry him along and, before hanging up, tells him she has sent a him a little present in the post. Arthur heads to the Vic after the call to prepare himself for the confession, but leaves the note he has written scrunched up next to the phone. Nigel asks Mark if the room going at his flat is still free. Mark says he is showing someone around in the afternoon. Arthur apologises to Mark for "everything" at the Vic. The present Christine has sent arrives in the post - it is a television. Pauline is thrilled when she sees it and assumes that Arthur bought it. Nick returns to collect the rest of Dot's belongings. Nigel realises Dot does not know what he is doing and goes to tell her, but Nick threatens him with his handyman, Gummy, by his side. Arthur and Pauline babysit Sharmilla for Sanjay and Gita, who cries just as Arthur plans to tell Pauline everything. Nick begins taking Nigel's belongings from Number 25. Nigel goes to get them back from Nick but is stopped when Nick pulls a knife and holds it to his throat. Mark walks in before Nick can do anything and saves the day, attacking Gummy and frightening Nick off, and then telling Nigel he can move into the room at his flat. Cindy tells Ian that Tricky Dicky has been talking rudely about Kathy. Ian vows that he is going to get back at him one day. Pauline returns after settling Sharmilla down and finds the scrunched up note by the phone. She asks Arthur if she can bin it. Arthur begs her not to read it and then confesses he has been having an affair for the past year. |
