Sharon wants to be left alone. Cindy and Ian pack to go home. Maggie catches them leaving and is adamant she is going to tell the DSS about Cindy's "new job". Ian laughs in her face. Pete and Rose go out for a meal. Aidan, Arthur, Mandy and Richard all return from the football match, but Nigel is nowhere to be found. Michelle issues Grant a stern warning. Pete and Rose have sex after their evening meal out. Grant continues to be a menace in The Vic. Nigel arrives at the Vic with a head bandage. It transpires he misheard the other supporter and, after they hit heads whilst getting into the police van, they went to hospital and Nigel learnt he misunderstood the supporter. Ian goes to get alcohol from the Vic. He is stopped by Hattie and Steve on the way out. Hattie tells him she wants a £1,000 pay rise while Steve relays his plans for a proper partnership deal. Ian tells them they can both have what they want. Arthur tries phoning Mrs Hewitt when he gets a moment alone, but she does not answer. Rose tells Pete that Alfie is being moved to a hospital to die, so she does not know when she will see him again. Aidan and Mandy head back to Number 45 to spend the night together, but they find Arthur awake and on the phone in the dark when they get there. Michelle refuses to leave the Vic until she has gone upstairs with Sharon after closing. Grant hears Michelle talking about him and gets aggressive. He shoves Michelle and grabs Sharon. Michelle rushes downstairs and calls the police. When they arrive, Grant demands to know what they want. He knocks one of the police officers unconscious when he learns it is to do with domestic violence. Back-up quickly arrives and Grant is bundled into a police van. Michelle walks out onto the Square with a bloodied nose and Sharon next to her, as Phil returns to the commotion. |
