Summary[]
It is the day after Nick's acquittal of the murder of Eddie. Pete is displeased. Young footballer Aidan comes to stay at 45 Albert Square and Pauline lays down a few ground rules. She thinks that Arthur and Aidan are just going to share their strong love of football and bore the pants off her. Jack turns up again looking for Michelle.

Nick is back with Dot at Number 25 and residents are not happy. The Fowlers have a new lodger - Aidan. Pauline lays down some ground rules for him and Arthur. Sam returns to the Square after another night out. Dot has flour thrown at her by youths in protest of Nick returning home, while Pete sets up a petition to get Nick removed from the Square. Sam gives Ricky small talk and refuses to discuss her night out, so Ricky tells her he will give her a taste of his own medicine and go out all night himself. Rose turns up on the Square, delighting Pete. Arthur introduces Aidan to Mark and then leaves the pair alone so he can work. Ricky asks Hattie to talk to Sam. Hattie does and realises Sam may well have made up her mind over her marriage with Ricky. Aidan takes Roly out for a walk but ends up injuring his ankle after being chased. Pete and Rose enjoy each other's company, but Rose then has to leave. She is keen to see Pete again later in the day and they arrange to meet at 5pm in the Vic. Ricky tries talking to Sam, but she walks away. Nigel hates how horrible people are being towards Dot. An awkward atmosphere forms when Jack turns up at the Vic to see Michelle and have a drink. Sam goes on another night out and tells Ricky it is for modelling. Clyde issues Jack with a warning when Michelle's back is turned. Dot decides she needs some time away from the Square to let things settle. Rose cancels on Pete but does not say why. He plans to go and get Dot and get her out for a drink, but as he gets to her, she is driven off in a taxi. |
