Dot and Clyde are questioned in court. Meanwhile, Phil tries to encourage Sam to resolve her differences with Ricky.

A recording of Nick's interview with the police is played in court and DCI Chapman is then cross-examined.

Kathy wonders if she should go over and confess to Ian she drove Cindy away.

Joe gives his account to the courtroom of what he saw on the night of Eddie's death and insists it was Nick standing over the body as he left.

Dot and John talk. John tells Dot he found comfort in his son being talked about again but he hopes Nick is found guilty and goes down for a long time.

Kathy visits Ian, but before she can tell him what she did, Ian confesses to her that he has been seeing Cindy again and she has left him in the lurch. Kathy keeps quiet about her role in Cindy's departure and comforts him.

Dot is next up in court and she ends up admitting that Nick confessed to her that he killed Eddie. She is further cross-examined over how she dealt with Nick's heroin addiction and scrutinised over locking him in the bedroom.

Clyde is next up in the courtroom and is questioned about the night of 9th May 1991, when a group of yobs entered the Vic and created disharmony. He is then asked how he thinks Eddie would have coped one-to-one with the assailant on the night of his murder.

Dot cries to Pete that she may have driven Nick to murder, and as result he is now going to go away for life, and it is all her fault.
