Frank gets rid of a reporter who lurks around the car lot searching for Pat. Clive arrives on the Square to arrange a rendezvous point with Sam to pick her up at. He then visits Mandy and asks her to meet him at the same spot. Sam later goes to pick Mandy up but cannot find her. She tells Mark to get Mandy to catch her and Clive up by taxi if she misses them. Pauline and Pete arrive at the pub to watch Danny's gig. Pauline recognises another one of their school friends, Rose Chapman, whilst there. Mandy returns to the flat late and then heads off to meet Sam and Clive at the rendezvous point, telling Mark and Steve that Clive told her to meet him at the rendezvous point at 8pm. Mark tells Mandy he thought Sam said 7pm but Mandy insists it was 8pm. Pauline and Pete catch-up with Rose at the pub. Pete takes an interest to her but does not get her number or address before she leaves. Mandy furiously returns to the flat late and tells Hattie, Mark and Steve that she has been stood up.
