Summary[]
Ricky is determined to keep his marriage with Sam strong. Sharon is grateful for Phil's continued support in Grant's absence. Pat is overwhelmed with guilt from the driving accident and tries to distract herself, although it is to no avail.

Dot is desperate to find out if Pat has been charged for drink driving and begins gossiping to seek the answer. Hattie returns to the Square earlier than planned and without Clyde and Jules, leading Dot to wonder if something has happened between her and her family. Michelle notices Pauline suffering post-Christmas blues and takes her out to a salon so they can both treat themselves. Ricky plans for him and Sam to go ice-skating and to the cinema, but Mandy makes sure she intervenes in their plans. Frank visits Doctor Legg over Pat's deteriorating mental health. He then tells Pat that Doctor Legg has advised she sees him to talk things through, though she is not so sure. Arthur phones Mrs Hewitt once alone at Number 45 to tell her he has been thinking about her. Ricky is left crushed when Sam tells him they can no longer go to the cinema as she has been offered more modelling work. Phil and Sharon share another kiss. He suggests they spend time together after closing the Vic in the evening. Pauline makes Arthur tea but he is ignorant towards her, so she throws it over him! Phil and Sharon's romantic time together is interrupted by a bored Ricky. Ricky is angry when he sees Sam return with the photographer. He calls her a slag, so she locks herself in their bedroom. He then heads out into the Square gardens to calm down and, after talking to Pat, returns to the Vic to go to bed. However, as he walks upstairs, he notices Phil heading to another bedroom. |
