Summary[]
It is Martin and Michelle's birthday, and whilst Arthur plans a party for Martin, Sharon plans a surprise one for Michelle. Grant is furious with what Sharon has to tell him.

Grant is rude to Michelle. Grant begins drinking gin, feeling left out for not being invited to Michelle's party. He is then unpleasant towards Clyde. Mandy has stayed out most of the evening and Mark is not impressed. Mrs Hewitt turns up at Number 45 to spend the day with Arthur during Martin's birthday. Arthur and Pete begin drinking. Clyde tries talking to Michelle but she will not listen to him. He asks Hattie to give Michelle her birthday present for him. A drunken Grant causes a scene at Michelle's party and then storms off. Sharon is disappointed. Arthur and Pete end up getting drunk and head to the Vic, leaving Mrs Hewitt in charge of Martin and Vicki. Michelle thanks Clyde for her birthday present and they make up. Arthur eventually returns home after Michelle's party. Mrs Hewitt helps him onto the sofa. Grant returns at the end of the evening. His determination for him and Sharon to have a baby grows, despite Sharon not wanting to have sex with him. She tells him she is still on the pill because she does not want a baby with him. Grant rages and begins smashing up the Vic as a teary Sharon takes cover. |
