Dot has a meeting with a lawyer about Nick's case. Frank is forced to take the door off of Number 18 so that he and Mark can get the furniture out of the house. Grant and Phil tamper with the new brewery's beer behind Sharon's back.

Sam is in the newspaper following her win at the beauty contest. However, the news reporter manages to get Pat and Sharon mixed up. Grant tries hiding the newspaper from Sharon so she is not offended.

The Taverniers argue over who is going to the magistrate's court with Lloyd. Lloyd gets worked up as he does not want his family there but no one will listen to him. Lloyd is delighted to see Gary and Wesley again at the magistrate's court.

Sam is asked to have her photos taken outside the Vic to promote the new beer by Grant. Ricky disapproves of Sam's modelling and demands she stops.

Frank cannot get the door back on at Number 18.

Ricky catches Sam outside the Vic modelling and pulls her inside to stop her having anymore photos taken. Sam disapproves of Ricky's intervention and tells him she could make thousands from a modelling career.

Lloyd is given probation, an endorsement on his driving licence and a driving ban for two years. He is thrilled by the result.

Dot returns from her meeting with the lawyer and believes Nick has a chance of getting free. She decides to try and encourage local residents to donate money to her 'Nick Cotton defence fund', but is angered when Arthur, Pauline and Pete refuse to donate.
