Ian has the Meal Machine kitchen bleached. Dot calls on Pete for support - she feels Nick needs genuine help. D.S. Manning pays Eddie another visit.

Mr and Mrs Henderson wait outside Number 25 for an answer. Dot answers and tells the pair she will refund them the £300 they are owed, and they cannot live there.

At the B&B, Joe talks to Mark about leaving the Square before the rumour mill starts about him.

Nick continues to try and unscrew the boards at the window. Dot asks him how many people he has conned.

Ian has the Meal Machine kitchen bleached. Mark argues with Ian about his bigoted attitude towards Joe.

Dot calls on Pete for support - she feels Nick needs genuine help. Dot and Pete clean Nick and the bedroom up.

D.S. Manning pays Eddie another visit, pressuring him to entice Clyde into taking a dive at his upcoming bout. Phil and Grant want another meeting with Alfie to discuss their own fixing scheme.

Grant realises that Sharon does not want any old pub, she wants the Vic. He encourages her to go all out for it.

The screws to the boarded window are gradually coming undone in the bedroom Nick is being held hostage in.

Mark and Hattie talk about Joe and his situation at the Meal Machine. Mark is reassured when he hears Hattie talking sense about HIV patients.

Grant searches for a new opponent for Clyde. He meets with Alfie and insinuates Clyde is overtraining and could burnout before the fight; he suggests Alfie should get Clyde to ease up on his training.

Joe leaves the B&B again, so Mark takes him in. Pauline gets to know him, and with wise words manages to encourage him to return home to see his mother.

Eddie tries to persuade Clyde to lose the fight, but Clyde is having none of it. Alfie has his turn, convincing him to eat more and ease up on the roadwork. Later on, he meets the Mitchells with the good news.

Mark visits Rachel for a friendly chat. Rachel senses Mark's irritation at how uneducated people are about HIV and deduces he has it himself. She is sent into a state of shock and panics. Mark hugs her and reassures her they had safe sex and she has nothing to worry about. She is unsure where she stands with Mark and whether she can carry on seeing him.
